UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) will invest £213 million to help upgrade and modernise the country’s existing research infrastructure in order to allow scientists to better tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues, such as Covid-19, innovative clean technologies, and the transition to net zero emissions.
