Eco Expo Asia 2025 returns as a premier platform for sustainable innovation, uniting global leaders, policymakers, and businesses to tackle pressing environmental challenges. Taking place from 28 – 31 October 2025 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong, this year’s event centres on the theme, “Green Innovations for Carbon Neutrality”. The exhibition will highlight key areas covering: Circular Economy & Waste Management, Green & Smart Mobility, Green Fintech Solutions, Academic & Research Institutions, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and solutions driving sustainability across industries.

Hong Kong has set ambitious recycling targets, aiming for a 30% recycling rate for plastic bottles and 10% for drink cartons during the initial phase, with long-term goals of 75% and 50%, respectively, over the next eight years.[1] To meet these goals, emerging advancements in AI waste management are poised to play a critical role. Startups and industry leaders are introducing innovative technologies such as AI-powered smart bins, which can detect, sort, and compress waste with remarkable efficiency, significantly enhancing recycling efforts.[2]

Alongside these developments, Hong Kong is also advancing its position as a leader in green finance. The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP) Corporation’s GreenTech Hub fosters collaboration and accelerates green R&D, while the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s Sustainable Finance Action Agenda encourages innovation in areas such as carbon markets and sustainable investing. These initiatives align with the mandatory greenhouse gas disclosure requirements outlined in the Roadmap on Sustainability Disclosure in Hong Kong[3], offering practical tools for businesses to navigate these new regulations.

Eco Expo Asia 2025 showcases industry leading solutions

Eco Expo Asia 2025 will serve as a platform to highlight these advancements, uniting stakeholders to exchange ideas, discover breakthrough technologies, and foster partnerships for a greener future. The exhibition will present innovations across its key focus areas, offering actionable solutions to address critical environmental challenges.

In Circular Economy & Waste Management, exhibitors such as Baguio Green Technology Limited, China Everbright Environment Group Limited, Green AI Limited, Keppel Seghers – Zhen Hua Joint Venture, and Veolia Hong Kong Holding Limited will present cutting-edge technologies, ranging from AI-enabled waste management systems to all-rounded environmental solutions.

Green & Smart Mobility is a focus of this year’s exhibition, emphasising the transformation of green transportation. New exhibitors, such as Heng Chang Hang Vehicle Company Limited and Infore Enviro Technology Group Co Ltd, will showcase innovations in electric vehicles, including smart eco-vans and IoT-based environmental monitoring systems.

The event will also highlight advancements in Green Fintech Solutions, with exhibitors introducing tools for carbon management, energy analysis, and sustainability reporting. These solutions aim to empower businesses to meet regulatory requirements and advance their ESG goals, reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a hub for sustainable finance.

Finally, Academic & Research Institutions and startups will be prominently featured, with the HKSTP Pavilion presenting cutting-edge R&D projects and green technologies from startups and institutions, alongside innovative green solutions from Lingnan University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Jinjiang Technology and Innovation Research Institute, among others. Exhibitors will showcase breakthroughs in air and water treatment, green transportation, and energy-saving technologies, demonstrating the power of collaboration between academia, startups, and industry leaders to address climate challenges.
