IN-VR has announced the 10th edition of the Balkans Energy Summit 2026, which will take place on 19–20 May 2026 at the Athens Marriott Hotel in Greece.

Over the past decade, the Balkans Energy Summit has become a key meeting point for senior government officials, regulators, utilities, international investors, and leading energy companies. The 2026 edition will build on this track record, focusing on the region’s most pressing challenges, including energy security, cross-border integration, infrastructure development, and the acceleration of a resilient, diversified energy mix.

Athens has been selected as the host city in recognition of Greece’s growing role as a strategic energy hub, linking the Balkans, the Eastern Mediterranean, and wider European markets. As regional dynamics continue to shift, the city is playing an increasingly important role in connectivity, investment flows, and energy diplomacy.

This year’s agenda will include discussions on cross-border gas integration, gas corridors, LNG terminals and FSRUs, upstream and offshore opportunities in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean, power interconnections, grid modernisation and system resilience, renewable energy deployment, storage solutions and market integration, energy geopolitics and regional cooperation, as well as financing frameworks, bankability, and project execution pathways.
